AMAMI Origami Campaign

Updated: Feb 19, 2020

Origami spread from Japan and became popular in England during the reign of Queen Victoria, in Spain where it developed further as an art form, and in Germany where it was used by the kindergarten movement as a basis for teaching children. Nowadays origami techniques are inspiring scientists around the world working in diverse fields such as DNA, robotics and space exploration. Back in our humble Amami kitchen, origami inspires us to shape ingredients into edible art which we look forward to sharing with you.
